We think that you would like our lifestyle. We are a small team of consultants who work with both franchisors and potential franchisees and much of our work revolves around helping people evaluate franchise opportunities and dealing with franchise enquiries on behalf of a number of clients. By effectively dealing with those enquiries we are able to earn substantial fees and, at the same time, deliver excellent value to our clients. Most of our business comes from leads that come directly to us, which means we don't have to go out selling and our work is carried out in a positive and friendly environment.

Some days we wear business attire because we will be "face to face" with clients, other days we wear casual clothes because we are working at our desks. Best of all we are practising what we preach because we work for ourselves and have no boss to answer to.

Over the last few years we have been quietly growing our business. We have a requirement for another one or two consultants to join us and start to manage their own regions in exactly the same way as we do now in our own areas. One of the reasons for our success is that we have all had commercial experience, we are good communicators, and we believe strongly in dealing ethically and fairly with everyone. We think this shines through in or dealings with others and is a cornerstone of our business.

My Story....

I had worked for the same firm since leaving school and worked my way up the corporate ladder to become Sales Director of a £15million pound business. However, the spectre of redundancy became very real for me when, just before Christmas 2003 I was out on my own! Unsure of what to do and nervous about my prospects I started applying for jobs. It was a shock when I found that a lot of the companies I applied to never even replied!

Several months later, and with my capital dwindling I knew I had to take matters into my own hands and decided to set up my own business. I looked at business opportunities and network marketing, but soon wrote them off! I considered going it alone but struggled to pin down exactly what I wanted to do. However, a friend recommended Franchise Pro's service to me to help me find a franchise and I contacted them without delay....

I met the management the following week and found them to be brutally honest with me, but very professional. What impressed me the most however, was that although they told me about several clients they didn't give me the hard sell!
To cut a very long story short, given my experience trying to find the right franchise I convinced them of the need for a Franchise Pro office in Edinburgh and after a series of meetings I was appointed as their Edinburgh franchisee!

Franchise Pro put me straight into an intensive training course. I learnt all about the franchise and recruitment industry and had a briefing on two clients that I work with now on a retained basis. I can't think of many franchises where you actually get to work for the franchisors own client base straight away! Franchise Pro set the deals up with franchisors and I carry them out - that's a lot easier than going out door knocking!
Franchise Pro (Edinburgh) opened during the first week of December 2004 and I received my first cheque at the end of the fourth week and have never looked back, I'm excited about the future and the business is working for me and the clients I work with.
